IND vs IRE: Team India will return to Belfast after 19 years, clash with Ireland as soon as IPL 2026 ends

As soon as the T20 World Cup ends, the Indian cricket team is now in full race mode. Players will soon participate in IPL 2026, which will last for about two months. But right after the IPL, Team India has to make a comeback in international T20 cricket. In this sequence, BCCI has officially announced the two-match T20 series between India and Ireland on March 21. This series will be played in June and the Indian team will land in Belfast, Ireland after 19 years.

This tour is not only historic for the Indian team, but is also considered very important for the preparation of the upcoming T20 series against England. Both the matches will be played in Belfast only, where Team India is making a comeback after a long time. This series will provide a golden opportunity to the Indian players to gain rhythm and form before the England tour.

BCCI announced June tour

On Saturday morning, BCCI released the schedule of India’s tour of Ireland. This two-match T20 series will be played entirely in Belfast. The first T20 match will be held on 26th June and the second match will be held on 28th June. Both the matches will start at 7:30 pm Indian time.

Return to Belfast after 19 years

The Indian team last played on the Belfast ground in 2007. After that, I visited Ireland several times, but did not get a chance to play a match in Belfast. Now after a long gap of 19 years, the team is returning to the same ground, due to which this tour has gained special importance among the cricket lovers.
