IND vs NAM: Abhishek Sharma out against Namibia, Bumrah-Samson will return! Playing XI could be like this
Tilak Varma on Abhishek Sharma: The Indian team has got a big relief before the T20 World Cup 2026 match against Namibia. Opener Abhishek Sharma was admitted to the hospital on Monday due to stomach infection, but has now been discharged. However, the final decision on his availability for the match to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium will be taken on Thursday, the match day.
Giving an update on Abhishek’s fitness, Tilak Verma said that he has joined the team and is feeling better. “He is back and feeling good. We have one more day. Hopefully he will be fully fit. On the match day we will decide how ready he is to play,” he said.
Tilak also made it clear that any player will be a part of the playing eleven only after he is completely fit.
What did Tilak say on Bumrah?
Tilak Verma also gave a statement on the fitness of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He said that Bumrah is completely fine now and his playing will depend on the decision of the team management. “He (Bumrah) is absolutely fine now and doing better. As I said, we have one more day. If all goes well, he can return to the team. I think he will be available for Thursday’s match.”

Namibia’s probable XI: Loren Steenkamp, Jan Frylink, Jan Nicole Lofty-Eaton, Gerhard Erasmus (c), JJ Smit, Zane Green (wk), Dylan Leichter, Ruben Trumpelman, Willem Myburgh, Bernard Scholtz, Max Heingo.
