'We don't play the pitch as per our choice…' Team India's coach gave a big statement before the Mumbai Test

IND vs NZ 3rd Test: The third and last match between India and New Zealand will be played at Wankhede, Mumbai from November 1. By winning the Bengaluru and Pune Tests, New Zealand has achieved a great feat of winning a Test series on Indian soil for the first time. On the other hand, Team India has faced defeat in its home Test after 12 years. Now the threat of a clean sweep is looming over the Indians, to avoid which they will have to win or draw the third Test at any cost.

Before the third test, Mumbai's Wankhede pitch is being discussed. In fact, many media reports claimed that the Indian team management has demanded turning pitch from Mumbai Cricket Association i.e. MCA. Now a big statement has come from Team India's assistant coach Abhishek Nair on this. He has denied that spin-friendly pitches are being made.

Abhishek Nair said that the Indian team does not prepare the pitch as per its requirement in Test matches. Nair said that he wished he could prepare the pitches as per his wish, but he does not do so. This is the job of the curator, the team plays on whatever pitch is given to them.

Will Rohit-Kohli make a comeback?

In the first two Test matches against New Zealand, the bats of Indian captain Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli remained silent. Rohit had scored only 62 runs in 4 innings. Whereas Virat scored only 88 runs. Both the batsmen crossed the 50 mark only once. Although Abhishek Nair supported Rohit and Virat. He said that when a big player goes through a difficult phase, sometimes you have to give him time and trust that he will bounce back.

Harshit Rana may get a chance to debut

Harshit Rana may get a chance to debut in the India-New Zealand Mumbai Test. Rana has been included in the 18-member squad of Team India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India-Australia series will start in November. There is not much time left in this series. In such a situation, he may get a chance to play in the Mumbai Test.
