IND VS NZ: The final match of T20 World Cup 2026 between India and New Zealand will be played on March 8 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest cricket stadium in the world, with a capacity of 1,32,000. In such a situation, a large number of fans are expected to come to the stadium in this final match, in view of which tight security arrangements have been made in Ahmedabad. More than 1 lakh spectators are expected to attend this match.
More than 2000 police personnel deployed for India and New Zealand final match
More than 2000 police personnel have been deployed for the final match between India and New Zealand, which includes 7 DCP, 10 SP, 25 Police Inspectors, 78 Sub-Inspectors along with more than 2000 police personnel. All these policemen have been deployed around the stadium. The entire security operation of the match is being monitored by the Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP). According to reports, a special control form has also been set up near the stadium for monitoring. Apart from this, 1500 traffic policemen have also been deployed for traffic management. Overall, a huge deployment of about 4500 people has been made for this final match of India-New Zealand.
IND VS NZ final match will be monitored by more than 300 CCTV cameras
More than 300 CCTVs have been installed inside and outside the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. So that inside the stands of the stadium, the concourse, entry/exit gates, parking area and the roads leading to the stadium can be monitored. These CCTVs are high-resolution and live monitoring is done from the control room.
Ahmedabad Police will have an eye everywhere
Ahmedabad Police’s Sidi-wide which covers major places, intersections and entry points of the city. It has been linked to CCTV. So that the surrounding area can also be covered. Although the exact location of the cameras is not made public due to security reasons, special attention has been paid to gates, crowded areas and parking areas, so that any potential threat can be detected quickly. The entire security management of this final match is being headed by Gujarat Police.
Traffic management regarding India vs New Zealand final match
Traffic management is also very strict on the day of India vs New Zealand final match. Vehicular movement will remain closed on some roads from 10 am to midnight (until approximately 2 am after the match). No vehicle will be allowed from Janpath T-Junction to the main gate of the stadium and up to Krupa Residency T-Junction and Motera village. People have been advised to use alternative routes.
Bomb disposal and emergency teams also deployed
Four teams of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad have been deployed in Ahmedabad for the final match of T20 World Cup 2026. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team is also deployed for emergency situations. The stadium is very close to the stadium gate no. 1 and 2 of Ahmedabad metro station (Motera station) for the visiting spectators. On the day of the match, metro service will be available till night also.
