‘They make strategies’, Indian batting coach gave statement regarding Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli

IND vs NZ: The second match of the 3-match ODI series between India and New Zealand will be played in Rajkot on 14 January. Both the teams are busy preparing for this match. Before the second ODI, a statement has come from Indian batting coach Sudhanshu Kotak, which has become a topic of discussion in the circles of cricket. The coach told that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are still the leaders of the team and they make strategies.

Rohit-Virat make strategy

Indian cricket team’s star batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are part of the ODI series being played with New Zealand. Rohit could not play a big inning in the first match, while Virat Kohli played the match-winning inning of 93 runs.

Ever since Rohit-Virat have retired from T20 and Test formats, there have been talks in the corridors of cricket that Ro-Co head coach Gautam Gambhir is not doing anything special. But now a statement by Indian batting coach Sudhanshu Kotak has sidelined these rumours.

Coach Kotak said, ‘They make strategies. Now since they are playing the same format, they want India to win all the matches. Both of them have so much experience that they share and discuss ideas with other players. He talks with Gautam Gambhir on the ODI format and also our strategy for the World Cup.

‘They share their experiences’

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the most experienced players of the current Indian team. Both of them have immense experience in international cricket. Now the batting coach told that both the senior players share their experience with the team.

Kotak further said, ‘Most of the time I’m there and if I’m listening they share their experiences. I always see them talking. You see a lot of things like this on social media, so I avoid seeing them. From where I see, there is a lot of positive.
