Delhi: The third Test match between India and New Zealand will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from November 1. Before this match, the visiting team's star batsman Kane Williamson is out of the match. New Zealand Cricket has announced that Williamson is recovering from a back injury and he can join the Test series against England next month.

It is noteworthy that Williamson could not participate in the first two test matches of the series played in Bengaluru and Pune. In his absence, the Kiwi team, under the captaincy of wicketkeeper batsman Tom Latham, achieved its first Test series win in India.

The New Zealand Cricket Board said, “Williamson has made good progress in his recovery, but he is being given time to be fully fit for the England series.” Head coach Gary Stead said, “There are good signs of improvement in Kane, but he is not yet completely ready to tour India with the team.”

Can make a comeback against England

The 34-year-old Williamson is expected to return in the three-match home Test series against England at Hagley Oval from November 28. In the second test, New Zealand defeated India by 113 runs and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Now all eyes are on the third and last test match.
