New Zealand won the match by 41 runs and created history. New Zealand has won the ODI series against India on Indian soil for the first time in history. Batting first, New Zealand scored 337/8 runs in 50 overs. Opener Devon Conway took 5 in 4 balls and Henry Nicholls returned to the pavilion without opening his account. After this, Daryl Mitchell, who came to bat at number 4, played an inning of 137 runs in 131 balls. Apart from this, Glenn Phillips had scored 106 runs in 88 balls. Whereas, Michael Bracewell played an innings of 28 runs in 18 balls.

While chasing the target, the Indian team got a bad start. Opener Rohit Sharma scored 11 runs in 13 balls. Apart from this, Shubman Gill scored 23 runs in 18 balls. In the middle order, Shreyas Iyer scored 3 runs in 10 balls. Virat Kohli played an inning of 124 runs in 108 balls for India. Apart from this, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 53 runs in 57 balls and Harshit Rana scored 52 runs in 43 balls. The Indian team was all out for 296 runs in 46 overs and New Zealand won the match by 41 runs.
