On the fourth ball of the over, Rana bowled a slower ball at 113 kmph which was outside the off stump. Nicholls, who was hoping for pace, attempted to pull the ball into the off side.

Instead, he made only a light outside edge, and the ball flew past the wicketkeeper. KL Rahul responded quickly, diving to the left and completing a brilliant catch to break the dangerous partnership. This wicket immediately boosted India’s energy on the field and signaled a turning point in the innings.

Rana attacks again and dismisses Conway

Rana was not finished yet. Full of confidence, the young fast bowler came back in his next over and delivered another decisive blow. On the last ball of the 24th over, he bowled a fullish delivery at 142.2 kmph which fell on the seam and turned inwards. Conway, who was in good form after scoring 56, attempted a drive away from his body. The ball took a thick inside edge and hit the leg stump, causing New Zealand The opener was stunned.
