Pakistan cricket team captain Salman Ali Aga said, “Our record against Indians is not good, but we cannot change history. Past records do not matter. This will be a new day. You cannot change history but we can try to perform well and win this time.”
On the questions being raised on the bowling action of his team spinner Usman Tariq, Aga said, “Usman Tariq has been cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and ahead of the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 match on Sunday, the ongoing discussions about him have not affected him in any way.”
Regarding Abhishek Sharma, the Pakistani captain said, “We cannot do anything in the weather. I hope Abhishek Sharma will play tomorrow. I hope he is recovering. We want to play against the best players.”
On Babar Azam’s form, he said, “Babar Azam is not a matter of concern for us. He is scoring runs. And hopefully he will help us by scoring runs tomorrow. We do not want to make too many changes in the batting position.” “We have adapted well. We know the pitch. If that helps us then I will have no problem. We have to play good cricket for 40 overs.”
