‘No handshake’ policy intact, Suryakumar ignored Salman Aga on the toss, did not shake hands

Suryakumar ignored Salman Aga

When the captains of both the teams came to the field for the match between India and Pakistan, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav completely ignored Pakistan captain Salman Ali. Surya did not even look at Salman nor shook hands with him. After the toss, both the captains proceeded towards their dugouts after talking to the presenter.

What did the Pak captain say about the handshake?

In the press conference before the great match between India and Pakistan, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga was asked about the handshake. On this he said that cricket should always be played with sportsmanship. Whereas Surya had said that what has to be done will be known only at the time of the match.

Did not shake hands even in Asia Cup

Earlier, the handshake controversy was in the headlines during Asia Cup 2025. After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India took a tough stance and refused to shake hands with Pakistani players. During the Asia Cup 2025, the teams of India and Pakistan faced each other thrice but all three times the Indian players did not shake hands, maintaining the no hand shake policy.
