Delhi: In the Group A match of ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, India performed brilliantly and defeated Pakistan by 90 runs. This match was played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first, but the Indian team batted first and made a strong score, then kept their neighbors on the backfoot by maintaining excellent bowling control.
India was all out in the first innings
India scored 240 runs losing all 10 wickets in 46.1 overs. The team had a fast start. Captain Ayush Mhatre scored 38 runs in 25 balls. He hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Star batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was out early, but after that Aaron George took over the innings.
George was the highest run scorer for India. He scored 85 runs in 88 balls. His innings included 12 fours and 1 six. Kanishk Chauhan also made an important contribution and scored 46 runs in 46 balls. The lower order did not score many runs, but the team was successful in reaching 240 runs.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Sayyam and Abdul Subhan took 3-3 wickets.
Indian bowlers dominated Pakistan
While chasing the target of 240 runs, Pakistan Under-19 had a very weak start. The team could score only 23 runs in the first 10 overs and then lost 4 wickets quickly. Usman Khan (16) and Sameer Minhas (9) could not last long. After this, Ali Hasan (0) and Ahmed Hussain (4) also returned to the pavilion without doing anything.
Huzaifa Ahsan definitely struggled. He scored 70 runs in 83 balls and tried to handle the team. His innings included 9 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Farhan Yusuf added 23 runs, but did not get much support from the other end. The entire Pakistani team was reduced to 150 runs in 41.2 overs.
Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chauhan bowled brilliantly for India. Both took 3-3 wickets. Kishan Kumar Singh also took 2 wickets.
India won this match by 90 runs. India’s performance was better in both batting and bowling. With this victory, India has strengthened its position in Group A.
