IND vs PAK Under-19: Today in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025, the teams of India and Pakistan are facing each other at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. This match was not limited to just the thrill of cricket, but once again ‘no-handshake’ was seen in the match. Following the lead of the senior team, Indian Under-19 team captain Ayush Mhatre also did not shake hands with the Pakistan captain at the time of the toss.
‘Distance’ seen at the time of toss
In this high-voltage match of Group A, the toss took place after rain. When Indian captain Ayush Mhatre and Pakistani captain Farhan Yusuf came on the pitch for the toss, all eyes were on both the captains. Both the young captains neither shook hands with each other nor made any eye-contact.

After winning the toss, Farhan Yusuf decided to bowl first and without making eye contact he handed the microphone to Mhatre and went straight towards the dugout. It is reminiscent of the ‘no-handshake’ practice in senior cricket a few months ago, which was introduced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after the Pahalgam terror attack. Indian players did not join hands with Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025.
