IND vs SA 2nd T20: The Indian team had a chance to take a strong 2-0 grip on the series by defeating South Africa in the second T20 on 11 December. But the bowlers and batsmen performed mediocrely and leveled the series at 1-1. Batting first, the Proteas team scored 213 runs on the basis of Quinton de Kock’s brilliant inning of 90 runs. Arshdeep Singh

The second T20 was very disappointing for fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. He made a shameful record in his name of bowling 7 wide balls in 1 over. Apart from this, he gave away 54 runs in his quota of 4 overs, Indian bowling gave 22 extra runs in this innings. His loose bowling in the initial over itself took the pressure off South Africa. After this he started batting aggressively. Apparently, this bad spell of Arshdeep became the main reason for the defeat of Team India in Chandigarh.

Shubhman Gill

Questions are constantly being raised about Shubman Gill’s place in the T20 team. No big innings have been seen from his bat. He scored only 4 runs in the first match of the T20 series against South Africa. In the second T20, he was out without opening the account. Suryakumar Yadav has become the weakest link of Team India’s batting for the last one year. In the year 2025, he has been able to touch the figure of 50 only twice. In the second T20 against South Africa, he scored 5 runs in 4 balls. Shubhman Gill and Abhishek Sharma were already out, so the captain needed to play a long innings to help the team cross the threshold of victory. But he did not succeed in doing so. That is why he has been considered the third culprit of the defeat in Chandigarh.
