IND vs SA 4th T20: The T20 match was to be played between India and South Africa on the night of 17 December. This match was to be organized at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. All preparations were complete and the first ball was about to be bowled at 7 pm. But due to fog in Lucknow the match was canceled without the toss. This caused disappointment among the spectators, although this was not the first time that the match had been canceled due to some strange reason.

Sri Lanka vs Australia/West Indies (1996)

In 1996, just two weeks before the start of the World Cup, there was a bomb blast in Sri Lanka. A suicide truck rammed into the building at the Central Bank of Colombo, causing a massive explosion. The explosion was so strong that 91 people died and about 1400 people were injured. Due to this, Australia and West Indies refused to participate in the matches against Sri Lanka citing security concerns.

Pakistan vs New Zealand (2021)

In the year 2021, the New Zealand team had refused to play against Pakistan, the incident took place on 17 September. The ODI match between the two teams was to start at 2:30 pm in Rawalpindi. But news came that New Zealand had canceled the tour. According to media reports, the New Zealand Board received a threatening input in which the possibility of a terrorist attack was expressed.

India vs Sri Lanka (2009)

On 27 December 2009, an ODI match was being played between India and Sri Lanka at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. But due to the quality of the pitch being not proper, the match was stopped after 23.3 overs. In fact, some balls on the pitch were bouncing up to the height of the ball and some were reaching up to the chest. Captain Kumar Sangakkara spoke to the umpires after Sri Lankan batsman Thilan Samaraweera injured his finger and the pitch was even declared ‘deadly’. Indian captain MS Dhoni also showed sportsmanship and the match was cancelled.
