With this victory, India has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. Hardik Pandya was chosen player of the match.

Many big records were made
In this match, Hardik Pandya, who was the player of the match, played an innings of 59 runs and took 1 wicket. Hardik has done this feat for the second time in T20. Earlier, he had done this against Bangladesh also last year. This is the 15th time in T20 that a player has taken a fifty and a wicket for India.
India won this match by 101 runs. Which is the biggest defeat for South Africa so far in T20. For India, it is a big win by 100 runs for the 9th time in T20 against Full Members. Which is the highest in International T20 cricket. This performance has also proved India’s strong bowling in T20 cricket.
Bumrah made a big record
Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for 17 runs in this match. He completed 100 wickets in T20 format by dismissing Dewald Brevis. With this he has become the first Indian bowler to take 100 wickets in all formats. Bumrah has taken Test – 234 wickets (19.79 average), ODI – 149 wickets (23.55 average) and T20I – 101 wickets (18.07 average).
