‘I came after selling wheat, now I want a refund’
After the cancellation of the match, many fans gathered outside the stadium. Meanwhile, a video of a young man from Agra surfaced, who while narrating his ordeal raised serious questions on the administration. The young man told that he had come to Lucknow from Agra just to watch the match. He had no money, so he raised money for the ticket and journey by selling three sacks of wheat from home.

The young man said, “We are poor people, with great difficulty we save money and come to watch the match. If the match does not happen, at least our money should be returned.” Not only this young man, but thousands of fans were seen shouting slogans of ‘refund’ outside the stadium. After its video went viral, these fans also got support on social media.

Generally, as per BCCI rules, if even a single ball is not bowled, the ticket money is refunded. Fans get refund of their ticket without any hassle. However, the process is lengthy and becomes even more difficult for those who have purchased tickets offline or in the black.
