In the last match of the five-match T20 series, the Indian cricket team of South Africa Defeated by 30 runs. With this, Team India won the series 3-1. Batting first, Team India scored 231 runs for the loss of five wickets. In reply, South Africa could only manage 201 runs in 20 overs. South Africa won the Test series 2-0 in the entire tour. Dewald Brevis scored 31 runs off 17 balls. While the South African batsmen performed brilliantly in patches, Team India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakraborty bowled brilliantly. Bumrah took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs on a flat wicket, while Varun Chakraborty took 4 wickets in 4 overs. Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh also took 1 wicket each.

Great batting by Hardik and Tilak
Hardik Pandya became the second Indian batsman to score the fastest fifty in T20 cricket. His century partnership with Tilak Verma (73) saw India post 231 for 5 in the fifth and final T20I against South Africa. Hardik Pandya completed his 7th half century in just 16 balls. This is the fastest fifty by an Indian batsman since Yuvraj Singh’s 12-ball fifty. Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in six balls against England at Kingsmead in 2007.
Hardik’s stormy move
Hardik Pandya Scored 63 runs in 25 balls with the help of five fours and five sixes. He shared a 44-ball 105-run partnership with Tilak for the fourth wicket. Tilak added 73 runs off 42 balls with ten fours and a six. While Pandya, who won a standing ovation at his home ground in the IPL, played a brilliant innings, skipper Suryakumar Yadav (5) failed once again.

During Pandya’s storming innings, Tilak held one end and rotated the strike. Earlier, Abhishek Sharma (34) and Sanju Samson (37) took India to 63 runs in the sixth over. Samson, who replaced his vice-captain Shubman Gill with an injury, seized the opportunity and staked his claim before the committee meeting on Saturday to select the squad for next year’s T20 World Cup.
George Linde dismissed Samson on a pitched ball on the leg stump. Samson started with a six off Marco Jansen and also hit two brilliant strokes off Otneil Baartman. Samson got a reprieve before his dismissal as Donovan Ferreira missed his return catch and the ball hit umpire Rohan Pandit’s knee. Pandya’s subsequent six sixes injured a member of the broadcast team, hitting his left arm, and the ball went into the audience ten rows back.
