But he could not play in the third match due to illness. Now he is out of the fourth and fifth matches also. Akshar is currently in Lucknow with the team, where he will undergo medical checkup.

Shahbaz Ahmed got a chance
The selection committee has included Shahbaz Ahmed in the team in place of Akshar. The fourth match will be played on 17th December in Lucknow and the fifth match will be played on 19th December in Ahmedabad. Shahbaz can do both spin bowling and batting, which will be useful for the team.
India’s position in the series
India won brilliantly in the third match and took a 2-1 lead in the series. Jasprit Bumrah did not play in the third match due to personal reasons, but he is expected to return in the remaining matches.
