Suryakumar clarified

Team India is playing with three changes in this match. Captain Suryakumar Yadav announced during the toss that Shubman Gill was not playing in the match, hence Sanju Samson’s place in the squad. Shubman Gill has been replaced by Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana has been replaced by Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav has been replaced by Washington Sundar. Suryakumar added, “The last match was very important for the team as the World Cup is coming up early next year. What we want from this match is more important than winning the series.”

Sanju had a slow start
