IND vs SA: Big shock to the team before the T20 series, two players out of the entire series

IND vs SA T20 Series: After the ODI series between India and South Africa, now a five-match T20 series is to be played. Both the teams had already announced their squads, but just before the start of the series, the African team has suffered two big setbacks. Fast bowler Kwena Mafaka and batsman Tony De Jorzi have been ruled out of the entire T20 series due to hamstring injuries. Jorji is not even playing the third ODI as doctors have advised him rest.

Jorji and Mafaka’s injuries increased the problem

Tony De Jorji had a hamstring problem in the second ODI, after which he was retired hurt on 17 runs in the 45th over. At present he is not completely fit and is being sent home. The decision as to who will replace him has not been taken yet. Similarly, fast bowler Kwena Mafaka is also troubled by a hamstring injury in his left leg. Cricket South Africa confirmed that he has been ruled out of the entire T20 series and has been replaced by Lutho Sipamala.

So far 31 matches have been played between India and South Africa in T20 International. Of these, India won 18 matches, while Africa could win only 12 times. It is clear from the statistics that Team India has the upper hand in the shorter formats and considering the form of the current Indian team, this series is going to be even more exciting.
