IND vs SA T20 Series : Will Jasprit Bumrah play remaining two matches or not? BCCI gave a big update, read in detail

The Indian cricket team is currently playing a T20 series against South Africa. Three matches of this series have been played so far. Out of these three matches, the Indian team has managed to win two matches. There are still two matches left in this series. Currently, the Indian team has taken the lead in the series by 2-1. Yesterday, India’s bowlers dominated the entire match. But India’s main bowler in this match Jasprit Bumrah This was not included in the playing XI.

Jasprit Bumrah, the leading fast bowler of Team India, did not play in the third T20 match against South Africa in Dharamsala on Sunday, December 14. The reason behind this is that he returned home directly from Dharamsala due to personal reasons. Hence he was not available for selection. Now the question is, will he be available for the remaining two matches of the series? The answer to this question is still unknown, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement that it would provide an update on his availability for the remaining matches of the series “in due course”.

After being tossed in the third match of the five-match T20I series against South Africa, Suryakumar Yadav announced that Jasprit Bumrah had been dropped from the squad due to personal reasons. Shortly thereafter, the BCCI announced, “Jasprit Bumrah has returned home due to personal reasons and will not be available for the game. Information regarding his inclusion in the squad for the remaining matches will be communicated in due course.” This suggests that his availability for the upcoming matches may be in doubt.

The fourth match of the five-match T20 series is in Lucknow on December 17, while the final match is in Ahmedabad on December 19. If he needs more time, he can miss the Lucknow match and play the final at his home ground. However, nothing has been officially announced by BCCI or Jasprit Bumrah yet.

The Indian team had to make two changes for the Dharamsala T20 match. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel was also dropped from the playing XI due to his illness. He was replaced by Harshit Rana and Kuldeep Yadav. Harshit Rana, who replaced Bumrah, bowled brilliantly, while Kuldeep Yadav also took two wickets for Team India. Harshit took his tally to two with his first over.
