IND VS SL W 5th T20I : India target 176 to win against Sri Lanka! Harmanpreet Kaur’s brilliant half century

IND VS SL W 5th T20I : The fifth match of the five-match T20 series is being played between India and Sri Lanka Women today at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Losing the toss, the Indian women’s team scored 175 for 7 on the back of captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s brilliant half-century. Sri Lanka needs to score 176 runs to win. Kavisha Dilhari took 2 wickets from Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited India to bat first. Batting first, India posted 175 runs in 20 overs. Which gave Sri Lanka a target of 176 runs to win. The Indian team did not start well. The team lost their first wicket by 5 runs. After that one wicket after another kept going. Half the team returned to the pavilion on 77 runs. But after that, captain Harmanpreet Kaur took charge of the team’s innings. Harmanpreet Kaur scored a brilliant knock of 68 runs off 43 balls. In which she hit 9 fours and one six.

Also, Amanjot Kaur supported her well at the other end. Amanjot Kaur scored 21 runs off 18 balls. In this she hit 1 six and 1 four. Arundhati Reddy, who came next, scored an unbeaten 27 off 11 balls. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Smriti Mandhan has been rested from India in this match, replaced by G. Kamalini was given a place in the team.
