IND vs WI: Team India's explosive start in the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup; Crushed West Indies by 9 wickets

IND vs WI Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025: Team India has made a bang in the ICC Under-19 Women's T-20 World Cup 2025 being played in Malaysia. Today on Sunday, the team led by Nikki Prasad defeated the West Indies team by 9 wickets in its first match. The heroine of Team India's victory was fast bowler Joshita VJ.

In this match played at Byumas Oval, Kuala Lumpur, Team India captain Nikki Prasad won the toss and invited the West Indies team to bat. But, the West Indies batsmen seemed to succumb to the Indian bowling attack and in the first innings the entire team collapsed at the score of 44 runs in 13.2 overs. Kenika Kasar scored the highest 15 runs for West Indies. 5 batsmen of the team returned to the pavilion at zero, while only two batsmen could score double figures.

Parunika Sisodia, Joshita VJ and Ayushi Shukla bowled brilliantly for Team India. Parunika got maximum three wickets, while Joshita and Ayushi took two wickets each. During this period the team also made two run outs. At the same time, Team India easily achieved the target by scoring 47 runs at the loss of one wicket in 4.2 overs. Gongadi Trisha was out after scoring 4 runs. G Kamalini (wicketkeeper) returned unbeaten after scoring 16 runs and Sanika Chalke returned unbeaten after scoring 18 runs.
