Sanju Samson credited the innings of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, “I think I have been playing in this format for a long time. I think I have been playing in the IPL for 10 to 12 years and for the last 10 years playing for the country. I may not have played much, but I have been playing from the dugout. I have learned a lot from great players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. I think it is very important to see what they are doing and learn from it.

He added, “I think it has really helped me.” From my experience I think I may have only played 50, 60 matches, but I have watched about 100 matches and I have seen how the best players finish matches.” Sanju Samson has played different matches in the last two matches. Speaking about this, he said, “I think last match we were batting first, so it was all about scoring big, so I wanted to score big from the first ball. But this match was completely different.

He further said, “I think we were losing wickets when I wanted to play a bit faster.” I think I wanted to create a partnership, focus on my process. I never thought I could do anything special, but I was just focusing on my role and taking it one ball at a time and I’m very grateful. I think it’s one of the best days of my life.”
