IND W vs ENG W: Team India’s first innings was limited to 285 runs in Lord’s Test, captain Harmanpreet-Mandhana and Deepti’s fifty.

IND W vs ENG W: The only 4-day Test match between India and England women’s team is being played at the historic ground of Lord’s. For the first time, a women’s test match is being played at Lord’s ground. In this match, the England team won the toss and decided to bowl first, after which Team India, who came to bat first, was reduced to 285 runs in its first innings on the very first day. Smriti Mandhana played an inning of 83 runs for Team India, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 58 runs and Deepti Sharma scored 57 runs. Sophie Ecclestone took 3 wickets for England. Whereas Maddy Villiers, Issie Wong and Lauren Filer took 2-2 wickets. While Lauren Bell got a success.

Team India’s start was not anything special.

Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma started Team India’s innings after losing the toss and coming to bat first in this historic Test match at Lord’s against England. However, Team India had a bad start and opener Shefali Verma was out on zero. Lauren Filer sent him to the pavilion. After this, the Indian team lost the second wicket in the form of Yastika Bhatia. Yastika was led by Lauren Bell, who scored 12 runs in 17 balls.

73 run partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet

After this, Smriti Mandhana along with Jemimah Rodrigues made a partnership of 64 runs for the third wicket, but then Jemimah lost her wicket. Issy Wong made Jemima his victim. Jemima scored 35 runs on 38 balls. After this, there was a brilliant partnership of 73 runs for the fourth wicket between Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur, but then this partnership was broken by Issy Wong by dismissing Mandhana. Mandhana missed a historic century. Mandhana played a brilliant inning of 83 runs in 108 balls. During this, 11 fours and one six came from his bat.

Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma scored brilliant half-centuries

After this, India got the fifth blow in the form of captain Harmanpreet Kaur and half the Indian team returned to the pavilion on the score of 202 runs. Maddy Villiers sent Harmanpreet to the pavilion. He played an innings of 58 runs in 121 balls with the help of 7 fours. After this, Sneh Rana and Richa Ghosh continued after scoring 13 runs each. Indian team’s star all-rounder Deepti Sharma played a brilliant half-century in the last innings and took the team’s score beyond 280. Deepti Sharma played an innings of 57 runs in 87 balls, which included 7 fours. Whereas Shriyanka Patil remained unbeaten after scoring 3 runs. In this way the Indian team has scored 285 runs in the first innings. The third session of the first day is going on. Till now 74.5 overs have been played. Now if the England team comes to play first then they will get to play a few overs today. Team India would like to get some wickets of England on the first day.
