Deepti Sharma created history for India. She became the first Indian player to take 150 wickets in T20Is. No player has ever achieved this feat for India either in men’s or women’s cricket.

Indian team achieved the target

The Indian team did not get off to a good start in chasing the target. Opener Smriti Mandhana was dismissed for 1 run in 6 balls. However, Shafali Verma scored a brilliant half-century. She scored 79 off 42 balls, hitting 11 fours and 3 sixes during her innings. Harmanpreet Kaur scored an unbeaten 21 off 18 balls. Jemima Rodriguez also failed to perform in this match, scoring 9 runs off 15 balls. India won the match by scoring 115/2 in just 13.2 overs.
