She was out on 91 runs and has now joined the list of unlucky players of all time. This is the fourth time that Mandhana has been out in the nervous nineties in ODIs and has become the female batsman with the most number of dismissals in the nineties along with West Indies' Stafanie Taylor.
Mandhana had a chance to achieve a unique feat, possibly becoming the second female batsman after Tammy Beaumont to score two consecutive centuries in ODIs. She scored a century in the third ODI against Australia, which India lost, and was in great form before this match.

The ball was pitched on a good length outside the off stump and was a little quicker than expected. Mandhana swung the ball past the stumps in an attempt to hit a paddle shot, but missed it completely. The ball hit his front pad near the roll of his knee and the umpire raised his finger. Although Mandhana reviewed the decision, Hawk-Eye confirmed all three raids, sealing her fate.
Mandhana's excellent form continues
Mandhana played a brilliant inning of 91 runs in 102 balls with the help of 13 fours. Earlier, Smriti Mandhana opened the innings along with Prateik Rawal. Both of them put India in a strong position by making a partnership of 110 runs for the first wicket. Prateek Raval became the 150th Indian women's ODI cricketer when Harmanpreet Kaur and her team played the first ODI against West Indies at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday, December 22.
In fact, it was Smriti who gave Raval his first ODI cap before the first match of the series. Rawal started playing cricket at the age of 10 and is a psychology student.
