Israel does not want ceasefire with Hezbollah
Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter said Israel is ready for talks on the Lebanon issue on Tuesday in Washington DC, but will not discuss a ceasefire with Hezbollah. According to The Times of Israel, Lighter said in his statement, “Today there were talks between the ambassadors of Israel and Lebanon in Washington, including the US Ambassador to Lebanon. This meeting took place under the supervision of the US State Department.” He told that in this conversation Israel has agreed to start formal peace talks from coming Tuesday.
