Sanjay Raut on Jayant Patil’s meeting with Fadnavis
What did committee chairman Zulfikar Pathan say on offering namaz again in Bhojshala?
On the Dhar Bhojshala/Kamal Maula complex dispute, Kamal Maula Masjid Namaz Arrangement Committee Chairman Zulfikar Pathan said, “The Supreme Court’s decision is an interim order, not a final decision. On our behalf, senior lawyers Salman Khurshid, Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Ahmadi presented strong arguments on behalf of the Muslim side.”
He said, “We had filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court challenging the High Court order in which Namaz was banned. Our lawyers told the court that Namaz has been offered in Kamal Maula Masjid for the last 800 years.”
Zulfikar Pathan said, “The Supreme Court, through an interim order, has lifted the High Court’s ban and allowed Namaz to be held again. The court has directed that Friday Namaz should be conducted in an open place between 1 pm and 3 pm. It has also directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to maintain the present condition of the complex and not make any changes or tampering in it.”
