Bombs will rain on Iran after ceasefire, Trump gives big hint
US President Donald Trump has indicated that if no agreement is reached before the ceasefire ends next week, attacks on Iran could resume. He also said that the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz will continue. Trump’s statement came at a time when Iran has said that it has fully opened this sea route to all commercial ships, although he also warned that it could be closed again in response to the US blockade.
When Trump was asked what he would do if no agreement was reached before the ceasefire ended, he said, “I don’t know, I might not push it further. The blockade will continue, and in that case we may have to start bombing again.” However, he also gave positive indications and said that he was hopeful of a compromise. “I think this deal will be done,” he said on Air Force One as he returned to Washington.
