What did Volodymyr Zelenskyy say on the Russian attacks?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned about possible Russian attacks from Belarus. He said that the situation in the Belarus-Bryansk region was discussed in detail with Ukraine’s military leadership team, intelligence agencies, security services and the Foreign Ministry. According to Zelensky, Russia may plan additional attacks on Ukraine from this direction, especially targeting the northern regions and the Chernihiv-Kiev area.

He said that Ukraine is already working on strengthening its security in this area and necessary instructions have been issued to the army. Along with this, precautionary measures are also being taken regarding those areas of Belarus and Russia from where danger may arise.

Zelensky said that Ukraine wants its Foreign Ministry to make more active diplomatic efforts regarding Belarus and increase pressure by building better coordination with allied countries. He said, “It is very troubling that Ukraine faces the constant threat that Russia could involve Belarus more in the war at any time.”
