India AI Impact Summit 2026 inaugurated at Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi said – AI will change human history
Tezzbuzz Desk- Today, on February 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally inaugurated the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in the country’s capital New Delhi. Leaders, policy-makers and industry leaders from across the world participated in this historic event.
Top leaders of many countries including Emmanuel Macron, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Antonio Guterres were present in the summit. On this occasion, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stressed the need to take technology to every section of the society.
Prime Minister Modi said in his address that Artificial Intelligence is going to transform human history. He said that India has always adopted new technologies and played a leading role in strengthening them.
He said, “Welcome all of you to the world’s largest and historic AI Impact Summit. This summit is being held in India, which represents one-sixth of humanity. India is a country with the world’s largest youth population, largest tech talent pool and strong tech-enabled ecosystem.”
PM Modi said that India looks at AI from the perspective of “Sarvajan Hitaya-Sarvajan Sukhaay”. His clear message was that humans should not remain just data points in AI.
He said that AI has to be democratized and it has to be made a medium of inclusion and empowerment, so that every section of the society gets its benefits.
The Prime Minister said that some people remain skeptical about new technologies, but the speed with which India’s young generation is adopting AI is unprecedented. The large participation of youth in the summit exhibition has given rise to new confidence.
He said that there have been some turning points in history that changed the course of civilization—AI is also one such revolutionary change. AI is making machines intelligent as well as enhancing human capabilities manifold.
PM Modi said that the real question is not what AI can do in the future, but in what direction we use AI currently. The journey from machine learning to ‘learning machines’ is fast, deep and wide. Therefore, the vision should be big and the responsibility equally serious. He said that we also have to think about what form of AI we will hand over to the coming generations.
