The road is closed, go on foot. Imagine how the international guests would have felt. What to say about disabled people. Friesen has also shared a video, in which hundreds of people are seen walking.

Journalist said- Roads, taxi and metro are also closed

Journalist and social activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj wrote, ‘My cousin sister from America has come to participate in the summit. Trying to book a taxi since 8 o’clock. Haven’t found it yet. Roads are closed. The police are not allowing taxis to enter. The nearby metro station is also closed. Officials had advised people to take cabs to avoid crowding in the parking lot, but there is a ban on entry of cabs into Bharat Mandapam.

Social media user wrote- Walked 5 kilometers

A person named Sahil Rajput wrote on social media, ‘Walked about 5 kilometers just to take a cab. The government has closed all the gates and roads and is asking people to walk, just because a VIP is coming. People have been walking since 6 pm and the police at all check points are saying that it is blocked. The management at the summit is a complete failure.

People vented their anger on social media

Another person said, ‘You come out of the AI Summit, walk 6 kilometers to reach a place from where you can get the means to go home, because some VIP people have come there. On the way you see people walking for kilometers without understanding anything. You see people jumping the divider and crossing to the other side of the road because they have been stuck in traffic for God knows how many hours. I have no words.
