New Delhi. A big deal has come to the fore to further strengthen defense cooperation between India and America. The US has approved the sale of maintenance support and critical equipment for India’s Apache attack helicopters and M777A2 ultra-light howitzers. The estimated value of this proposed agreement is said to be around $482.2 million.

Under this agreement, America will help India in providing facilities like spare parts, repair assistance, technical cooperation, training and logistics support. Arrangements such as engineering support, technical services and training of personnel for Apache helicopters are also included, which will ensure long-term functionality of these weapon systems.
