IND vs ENG 1st ODI: The Indian team has defeated England by 6 wickets in the first ODI match played at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. With this victory, Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the 3 ODI series. Batting first, England had scored 258 runs. In reply, the Indian team achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in just 45.2 overs. For India, captain Shubhman Gill played an inning of 80 runs, while all-rounder Akshar Patel scored unbeaten 57 runs and Washington Sundar scored unbeaten 52 runs to give Team India a spectacular victory. Akshar Patel was given the Player of the Match award for scoring fifty with the bat with 4 wickets.

Akshar Patel and Washington Sundar secured victory by scoring fifties.
After Shubman Gill retired hurt, Team India lost 2 wickets quickly. Shreyas Iyer was run out and returned to the pavilion. Iyer scored 35 runs. After this, KL Rahul lost his wicket cheaply after scoring just 1 run. England’s batting was like this
In this match against India, after winning the toss and batting first, the England team was reduced to 258 runs in 47.5 overs. For England, Joe Root played an unbeaten inning of 76 runs in 76 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six. Liam Dawson scored 68 runs in 83 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six.
