India became the Messiah in the midst of war! The world is watching the generosity of Modi government, it became ‘mother-father’ for these countries.

Amidst the fierce war raging in the Middle East, India has once again proved that it is not only an emerging economy for the world but also a true and trustworthy friend. While on one hand the ongoing war between America and Iran since February 28 has put the oil and gas supply in crisis all over the world, on the other hand India has played the role of ‘mother-father’ for the poor African countries in this difficult time.

India has not only tried to find a solution to the energy crisis by talking to the Gulf countries through its diplomacy, but has also opened its treasury and grain warehouses to help the ‘Global South’ (developing countries). India’s generosity amid the horrors of war is being praised everywhere on social media.

Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone got India’s support

Burkina Faso, a very poor country in Africa, is currently facing the brunt of civil war. Thousands of people have been displaced and rendered homeless there. India, showing humanity at such a time, has sent a consignment of 1,000 metric tonnes of rice to Burkina Faso so that the people there can get food security. Similarly, keeping in mind the future of school children in Sierra Leone, India has donated 1,000 metric tonnes of rice for the ‘Mid-Day Meal Scheme’ there. The Ministry of External Affairs has described it as a living example of ‘Global South Partnership’.

Navy takes command for flood victims in Mozambique

Nature wreaked havoc in Mozambique and the massive flood there caused huge devastation. In this hour of crisis, India showed solidarity and provided humanitarian aid and disaster relief (HADR) material. An Indian Navy ship reached Mozambique with 500 metric tons of rice, 10 metric tons of tent-hygiene kits and 3 tons of vital medicines. Even before this, India had sent 86 metric tons of life-saving medicines there. This readiness of India has established it as an important and reliable partner in the Indian Ocean region.

Help to drought-stricken Malawi and crisis-hit Afghanistan

The African country Malawi is currently in the grip of severe drought due to the effect of ‘El Nino’. India has sent 1,000 metric tonnes of rice to Malawi from Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva port so that starvation-like situations do not arise there. Not only this, India also did not forget its neighboring country Afghanistan. On March 20, India sent a large consignment of life-saving medicines and medical kits to Afghanistan, which is facing crisis amid Pakistan’s attacks and internal instability.

India’s medical aid reaches Tanzania

The process of India’s help did not stop here. On March 12, Indian Navy’s warship INS Trikand reached Tanzania’s capital Dar-es-Salaam carrying 2.5 tonnes of life-saving medicines. Reiterating its commitment towards the Global South, India has made it clear that it is ready to be the first to extend a helping hand in case of humanitarian crisis in any corner of the world. On social media, people are tagging the Ministry of External Affairs and saying that this is the real ‘New India’ which is saving the world from the crisis.
