If Trump really imposes 500% tariff, it will have a direct impact on American consumers. India’s stake is so large that companies will add the increased tax to prices. Today, an iPhone sold for Rs 1 lakh can be many times more expensive in America.

India’s PLI scheme and strong manufacturing base has given Apple the opportunity to have five assembly plants and 45 suppliers. Apple has started manufacturing all iPhone 17 models in India, thereby ensuring global supply.
