Huge metro network spread in 26 cities

At present, more than 1,143 km long metro network is operating in about 26 cities in the country. This network is making travel easier for millions of people every day. According to estimates, about 1.15 crore passengers use metro services every day. Of these, the maximum number of passengers travel in Delhi Metro, where about 55 percent of the total passengers travel.

Speed ​​increased due to new corridor

Recently, two new metro corridors were started in the capital, which has further expanded the metro network. These projects were inaugurated by PM Modi. With the launch of new routes, the reach of Metro in Delhi and National Capital Region has become stronger. Now there is about 416 km long metro network in Delhi and NCR itself, which includes about 303 metro stations. Due to this, lakhs of people are getting a lot of convenience in their daily journey.

Experts believe that the rapid expansion of the metro network is a major achievement for the country’s urban transportation. This will not only reduce traffic jams but is also expected to reduce pollution.
