Record Defense Production And Exports

India’s defense production reached a record Rs 1.54 lakh crore in 2025, while exports grew by nearly 12% to Rs 24,000 crore. With over 65% of defense equipment now made domestically, the country, to a great extent, reduced import dependence, strengthened domestic manufacturing and enhanced competitiveness.

Government policies and the Make in India initiative have positioned India as a growing force in the global defense market.
