India, England or South Africa! Who will win the T20 World Cup 2026 title? A former veteran prophesied
Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team has secured a place in the semi-finals of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Team India’s semi-final match will be played against England on March 5. Ahead of this match, former Australian great Glenn McGrath has made a prediction. He believes that India and South Africa will meet in the final of the World Cup. Moreover, he has warned India.
McGrath said that India should not underestimate England. However, he also admitted that the Indian team has the upper hand and can make it to the finals. At one time, Team India’s ability to reach the semi-finals was being questioned. However, Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 97 against the West Indies sealed India’s place in the semi-finals. Now, McGrath is also confident that the Suryakumar Yadav-led team will be seen playing in the finals.
“Switched off phone, stayed away from social media…” How Sanju Samson wreaked havoc against West Indies? A few revelations revealed
Glenn McGrath said, “England are a dangerous team and if they perform well, they can do anything. They were also lucky because they could have lost against Nepal. The match against Italy was close. Because of this, they have found ways to win. This will give them confidence in the semi-finals. If India and England play at their best, India will reach the final. My two favorite teams for the final will be India and South Africa.”
The former Australian bowler added, “Some time ago I said that South Africa will focus more on T20 cricket. They have good batsmen and the bowling attack is very strong. South Africa will face New Zealand in the semi-final. I hope South Africa will win this match. Whenever South Africa team plays against New Zealand, they play well and win spectacularly. However, I don’t know why this happens.”
Coach Gautam Gambhir made a big revelation before the IND vs ENG match! Why was Sanju’s place in India’s playing eleven for the World Cup?
West Indies set a target of 196 runs against India in the Super 8 match of T20 World Cup. Never in the history of T20 World Cup has India successfully chased such a big target. India’s innings was poor, losing two powerful batsmen Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan at 41 in the fifth over. However, Sanju Samson held it together at one end. He formed useful partnerships first with Abhishek and Ishan Kishan and later with Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma and Hardik Pandya to take the team closer to the target.
After Pandya’s dismissal, Sanju along with Shivam Dubey led India to a historic win and into the semi-finals. Sanju hit 12 fours and four sixes in his innings. This is the highest score by any Indian while chasing the target in the history of T20 World Cup.
