The first section of India’s first bullet train will start next year, Railway Minister announced new routes
New Delhi. India’s first bullet train service is now closer to launch. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the first section of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail project will be opened for passengers next year. In the initial phase, the Bullet Train will run between Surat and Bilimora in Gujarat.

The Railway Minister said that the project work will be completed in a phased manner. First the Surat-Bilimora section will start, after that Vapi-Surat, then Vapi-Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad-Thane and finally the entire line from Ahmedabad to Mumbai will be built. The Railway Ministry also shared the video of this announcement and said that India’s first bullet train project has now reached its next phase.
Ashwini Vaishnav also made a big announcement regarding Hyderabad. He said that on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the city will get three high-speed bullet train corridors, which will make Hyderabad a major high-speed rail hub of the country. These corridors will be developed between Pune-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Chennai and Hyderabad-Bengaluru.
According to the Railway Minister, after the completion of these projects, the travel time between many major cities will reduce significantly. The distance from Pune to Hyderabad will be covered in about two hours, while the journey from Hyderabad to Mumbai can be completed in about 2 hours 50 minutes, to Chennai in about 3 hours and to Bengaluru in about 2 hours 35 minutes.
He said that the railway budget received by Telangana from the Central Government and the proposed high-speed rail projects will give a new impetus to the development of the state. With the opening of these corridors, regional connectivity will be strengthened, investment will increase and the local economy will also benefit greatly.
