India is making such a supersonic weapon, the tension of enemies will increase

New Delhi. India’s aerospace sector is rapidly moving towards new technologies. In this sequence, work is being done in the country on an advanced platform which can play a big role in the future war. It is a concept of a supersonic near-space combat vehicle, which is being designed to deliver precision strikes over long ranges while flying at very high altitudes.

This project is being considered an example of new technological capabilities emerging in the Indian aerospace sector. With the development of such a platform, India may get a new capability to attack enemy targets from a distance.

Planning for operations in near-space

This platform is being designed to work in that part of the Earth called near-space. This area is generally considered to be between an altitude of about 18 to 30 kilometers. According to the concept, this vehicle can be deployed to an even higher altitude, about 36 kilometers (about 1,18,000 feet). From there it can fly at high speed and carry out its mission.

The biggest advantage of flying at such a height is that it remains well above the patrolling levels of normal fighter planes. Apart from this, many short and medium range air defense systems also do not reach this level. Because of this, such a platform can reach its target while avoiding enemy surveillance to a great extent. It can also carry out continuous surveillance or strike missions while remaining below the satellite’s orbit.

According to the concept, this vehicle may be capable of flying at a speed of approximately Mach 2.5. This speed is many times more than the speed of sound. With such a high speed, this platform can have the capability to attack targets at a distance of more than 800 kilometers. In the final stages of the attack, its speed can further increase to more than Mach 3, giving the enemy air defense system very little time to react.

use of ramjet engine

Ramjet engine technology is planned to be used in this project. In this technique, air is introduced inside the engine at a very high speed and the combustion process is completed using the same pressure. This system does not require a complex compressor like conventional jet engines. This is why ramjet engines are able to maintain very high speeds for long periods of time.

If such a supersonic near-space platform is fully developed, it can significantly strengthen India’s military capability. This can give the country the power to conduct stand-off strikes from long distances. This would mean that Indian forces would be able to target important targets of the enemy without entering its airspace. In the coming times, such technologies can completely change the strategy of modern war.
