India Masters Pickleball: Armaan Bhatia and Netherlands' Roos Van Reek reach semi-finals
Mumbai Mumbai. Netherlands' Roos Van Reek teamed up with India's Armaan Bhatia to defeat Australia's Caitlin Hart and Michelle Hargreaves in straight sets in the quarterfinals of the PWR DUPR India Masters Pickleball Championship at the DELTA Stadium on Saturday. In the first game, Bhatia used her powerful shots. Attracted everyone's attention. Their strength was so much that Hargreaves had to adopt an aggressive approach. The Indo-Dutch pair took a 7-0 lead in the first set. Despite their best efforts, Hargreaves and Hart were unable to withstand consistent attacks from Bhatia and Van Reek, who eventually won the set 11–1.
The second set proved to be an even tougher match, with both the teams going head-to-head. However, Bhatia and Van Reek kept their focus and eventually won the second game to clinch the match and enter the semi-finals. This result also reiterated Bhatia's top performance in this tournament.
Later in the evening, the Australian pair of George Wall and Danny E. Townsend defeated Emilia Schmidt of Australia and Casey Diamond of USA 11-8, 11-9 to enter the mixed doubles final.Pickleball World Ranking (PWR) New Delhi PWR is hosting the DUPR India Masters, a PWR 700 event. This tournament will help players earn 700 ranking points, which are valid for 52 weeks. These scores will affect their ranking and eligibility for future global competitions.
