India's new policy ready in Dubai, what will Pakistan do now regarding Afghanistan?

Abu Dhabi: For the first time since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, a high-level delegation from India has met Taliban leaders. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri spoke to Afghan Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki in Dubai.

The Indian Foreign Ministry said that in this meeting, the Taliban has assured to seriously understand the security concerns of India. This meeting is considered important to strengthen mutual understanding between the two countries.

Actually, at present there is a lot of tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Here Pakistan is trying to strengthen its relations with Bangladesh. At such a time, the coming closer of Pakistan's neighboring country Taliban and India can become a cause of concern for the Pakistani government.

Emphasis on humanitarian aid and security

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that many issues were discussed between India and Afghanistan. India promised to continue humanitarian and development assistance to the Afghan people. Both sides discussed increasing trade through Chabahar port and the security situation in the region. India also assured help in health services and rehabilitation of refugees.

India-Afghanistan friendship and new hopes

India and Afghanistan have been good friends for a long time. India has done many big projects in Afghanistan, such as the construction of the Parliament and government buildings there. When the Taliban captured Kabul in 2021, India closed its embassy. Till now India has not given official recognition to the Afghan government, as many other countries of the world are also doing.

India has sent several humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan in the last few years which include

1. 50 thousand metric tons of wheat
2. 300 tons of medicines
3. 27 tons of earthquake relief materials
4. 40 thousand liters of pesticide
5. 1 crore polio vaccine doses
6. 1.5 million Covid-19 vaccine doses
7. 11 thousand hygiene kits (for drug treatment)
8. 1.2 Ton Stationary Kits

This help has been given to meet the needs of the people of Afghanistan.

Discussion on sports cooperation between India and Afghanistan

India and Afghanistan discussed increasing cooperation in sports, especially cricket. Afghanistan's cricket team has considered India as its home ground for a long time. In this regard, both the countries agreed to maintain regular contact with each other and continue talks at various levels.
