India ODI Squad against New Zealand: The three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand is going to start on January 11. The first match of the series is to be played in Vadodara. The visiting team New Zealand has announced its team for the upcoming ODI series, but the Indian team is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan has caught the attention of the selectors by scoring a century against Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. After which the race has started between him and Rishabh Pant.

In fact, under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan, Jharkhand team has recently won the SMAT title. After which he has been included in the team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026. Now Pant’s place in the upcoming ODI series also seems to be in danger because Ishaan has joined the race. Before the announcement of the team, Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan’s century in 33 balls against Karnataka has put him far ahead. While Delhi captain Pant disappointed with his performance against Andhra Pradesh. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 5 runs in 9 balls.
Let us tell you that since the 2023 ODI World Cup till now, KL Rahul has been playing as the main wicketkeeper batsman of the team and he has also won the trust of the team management with his performance. That means now only the place of backup wicketkeeper is vacant in the team.
