Initially this service will be available in 6 big cities of the country, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Parcels sent between these cities are targeted to be delivered the next day (D+1). This service will start from today, March 17.

This new service has been created to compete directly with private courier companies like Blue Dart, DTDC and Delhivery. According to India Post, the feature has a number of features, such as OTP based secure delivery so that the parcel reaches the right person, end-to-end tracking with SMS alerts, free pickup for bulk bookings, API integration for e-commerce platforms and centralized billing for business accounts. Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) facility is also available for business customers.
Security and tracking also better
In the new service, secure delivery will be provided through OTP. Apart from this, SMS alert and tracking facility will also be available at every step, so that customers will be able to easily know the status of their parcel.
