India rout Netherlands by 17 runs, stay unbeaten in T20 World Cup group stage
India defeated the Netherlands by 17 runs to remain unbeaten in the group stage and progress to the Super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The Men in Blue won four consecutive matches in the tournament. Chasing 194, the Men in Orange were restricted to 176/7 runs in 20 overs, with Bas de Leede (33), Zach Lion-Cachet (26), Noah Croes (25), Michael Levitt (24), Colin Ackermann (23) and Max O’Dowd (20) getting starts. Varun Chakravarthy was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets.
Earlier, Shivam Dube’s 66 runs off 31 deliveries took the score to 193/6. He hit 6 sixes and 4 boundaries. For the Netherlands, Logan van Beek claimed three scalps.
India will face South Africa, the West Indies and Zimbabwe in the Super 8 of the competition.
