IND vs ENG 2nd ODI: Virat Kohli-Shreyas Iyer hit fifty in difficult times, India gave England a target of 234 runs.

IND vs ENG 2nd T20: The second ODI match between India and England is being played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. England won the toss and decided to bowl first. After which Team India, who came to bat first, was reduced to 233 runs in 44 overs. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries in difficult times for India. For England, Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets each. Saqib Mahmood took 2 wickets. Whereas Sam Curran and Will Jacques got 1-1 success.

Team India got a good start

Team India, who came to bat first after losing the toss against England, started the innings with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Both the opening batsmen gave a good start to the team. There was a partnership of 44 runs between the two for the first wicket, but then Gus Atkinson gave the first blow to Team India by dismissing Gill.

60 run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli

After this, there was a good partnership of 60 runs for the second wicket between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, but Rohit Sharma once again could not succeed in playing a big innings. Will Jacques gave second blow to India by dismissing him. Rohit scored 26 runs in 47 balls with the help of 1 four and one six.

Virat Kohli played a brilliant inning of 65 runs

After Rohit’s dismissal, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, who came to bat at number 4, could not do anything special and became the victim of Sam Curran after scoring only one run. After this, Virat Kohli along with Shreyas Iyer took charge. There was a partnership of 67 runs between the two batsmen for the fourth wicket. Virat Kohli looked in good form in this match and was out after playing a brilliant innings. He was coached by Joffra Archer. Kohli played an inning of 65 runs in 66 balls with the help of 8 fours. India lost the fourth wicket in the form of Kohli on the score of 178 runs.

After Virat Kohli’s dismissal, Team India continued losing wickets. Although Shreyas Iyer remained at one end and tried to play till the end, but Gus Atkinson gave a big blow to Team India by dismissing Iyer. Iyer played an innings of 66 runs in 71 balls. During this, he hit 5 fours and 2 sixes with his bat. Whereas Jasprit Bumrah contributed 20 unbeaten runs in 13 balls. Bumrah hit three brilliant fours and one six in the same over of Saqib Mahmood.
