India set a target of 285 runs for New Zealand, KL Rahul scored a memorable century

IND vs NZ 2nd ODI Live: Today (Wednesday 14 January) the second ODI between India and New Zealand is being played in Rajkot. In this match, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. After which India has scored 284 runs in 50 overs at the loss of 7 wickets. This innings included a century by KL Rahul and a half-century by captain Shubman Gill. Now New Zealand has to score 285 runs in the second innings.

In this match being played at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot, India had a slow start and Rohit Sharma (24 runs) returned to the pavilion cheaply. After this, captain Shubman Gill along with Virat Kohli took the team’s score forward. Gill returned to the pavilion after scoring 56 runs. After this, Shreyas Iyer (8 runs) and Virat Kohli (23 runs) were out. India were in trouble at 118/4, but KL Rahul batted very calmly and carried on with his innings brilliantly.

Rahul stayed till the end and made small partnerships with other batsmen to take the team’s score to 284. During this, he also completed the 8th century of his ODI career. This is his second century against New Zealand, his third while batting at No. 5 or lower and his third as a wicket-keeper. Rahul returned unbeaten after scoring 112 runs in 92 balls.
