India supports dialogue and diplomacy, not war… PM Modi said at BRICS summit
BRICS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who attended the BRICS summit, said on Wednesday, I congratulate President Vladimir Putin for organizing the 16th BRICS summit and once again welcome the new friends associated with it. In the new format, BRICS represents 40% of the world's humanity and 30% of the economy. BRICS has made many achievements in the last two decades. I am confident that in the coming times this organization will emerge as a more effective medium to face global challenges.

With this said, BRICS in the new form is a large economy of more than 30 trillion dollars. The BRICS Business Council and the BRICS Women's Business Alliance have played a special role in enhancing our economic cooperation. The consensus reached within BRICS this year on WTO reforms, trade facilitation in agriculture, flexible supply chains, e-commerce and special economic zones will strengthen our economic cooperation.
PM said, India does not support war, but dialogue and diplomacy. Just as we have been able to overcome challenges like COVID together, we are certainly able to create new opportunities to ensure a safe, strong and prosperous future for future generations. Let us tell you that the top leaders of BRICS countries including Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping participated in the BRICS summit.
During this, PM Modi also advocated concrete global efforts to deal with terrorism and said that there should be no double standards in fighting this menace. We need everyone's united and firm support to combat terrorism and terrorist financing. There is no room for double standards in this serious matter. We need to take active steps to prevent radicalization of youth in our countries. We must work together on the long pending issue of the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism at the United Nations, he said. Similarly, we need to work on global rules for cyber security and safe AI, PM Modi said.
